Amenities: 6 restaurants; babysitting; wi-fi in rooms; golf-driving range; health club and spa; jogging track; 50m outdoor heated pool (open year-round); sauna; children’s splash pool and playground; 2 outdoor lit tennis courts.

Conrad Hong Kong

Mini-review: Luxury hotel with lots of perks. Access to Pacific Place shopping mall and MTR station without going outside. Short walk to Hong Kong Park (which kids will love) and tram to Victoria Peak.

Amenities: 4 restaurants; wi-fi in rooms; house doctor; executive-level rooms; 5-star health club; sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi; heated outdoor pool (year-round).

JW Marriott Hong Kong

Mini-review: Recently remodeled and now has a very luxury feel. Great pool and very good breakfast. Connected to Park Place so (like the Conrad) you don’t have to go outside to have a wealth of dining options.

Amenities: 5 restaurants; wi-fi in rooms (free in the lobby); babysitting; health club with sauna and steam room; outdoor heated pool and Jacuzzi.

Marco Polo Hong Kong

Mini-review: Nice rooms and great location in Tsim Sha Tsui and near the ferry pier. Directly connected to Harbour City (the largest shopping mall in Asia). The Temple Street Night Market is nearby. The hotel pool is a nice (though hidden between tall buildings).

Amenities: 4 restaurants; free wi-fi throughout hotel; babysitting; access to nearby health club (fee charged); moderate-sized heated outdoor pool (year round); spa.

Holiday Inn Golden Mile

Mini-review: A great choice for a moderate budget. Nice pool and location. Children under 12 eat for free in the hotel’s restaurants.

Amenities: 4 restaurants; wi-fi in rooms; babysitting; house doctor; health club; rooftop pool (open year round); sauna.

  1. Hi David. Those all look like great places but a little over our budget. Could you recommend any cheap hotels that still have a swimming pool? Thanks.

    • Hi Ken. The Salisbury YMCA is a great choice and could have easily been included in the list above (but I have to draw the line somewhere). It’s right beside the Peninsula Hotel in Kowloon.

      It has 2 indoor swimming pools (one for laps and a kiddie pool) and a rock climbing wall. (Cool!)

      It has some good-sized family suites but these need to be booked very early as they’re quite popular.

  2. Cosmo Hotel Mongkok is also a great family friendly hotel in my opinion. I stayed there with my family and i was happy with my choice it can be found at a decent price here http://www.hongkongcentralhotels.com/

  3. The Salisbury YMCA has a family suite, but they only allow two children and two adults and none of the hotel rooms have connecting doors. When we requested a trundle bed they told us it wasn’t possilble. So if you’ve got more than two children it’s not great.
